It is when a doctor goes to an ADDITIONAL 2-4 years of college to learn everything about the human foot. How it works, what to do when something sprains, strains, breaks, or is in pain.

Podiatrists, as these doctors are called, can be a literal life-saver for you when every step you take is agony. I go once a year for annual physicals and it is always a pleasure to have them check for any problems, fix them when they are small.

They even can tell you what are the best shoes to wear, etc.
