Question
For the past 26 years I have sufferd with blisters that occur on my left foot only,about every two or three months. Sometimes very small and few, other times quite large and more. It has never occured on my left foot. I was told by a Chinese Doctor in Taiwan to burst the blisters and they will dry up and go away. This I do and they go away, he also gave me some cream, I cannot remember what it was.
My doctor here in the US says its Athletes foot. I do not feel this is a correct diagnosis. How can it be this long and only one foot?m7

Answer
Hello Brian

OK, any type of foot problem is usually caused by bacteria, with help from fungus.

The BOTH love two things; darkness and wetness.

To get rid of this problem, you need to at least get rid of the wetness.

You do this by doing two things;

1. Buy polypropylene socks that wick water away from your skin. Cabela's sells them via the internet. They are grey in color.

2. Buy a shoe dryer. Cabela's also sells this. Called a boot dryer. Use it every night to dry out your shoes before you wear them the next day.

Next, every night wash your feet with bar soap. This removes the bacteria and fungus on your skin. Dry your feet thoroughly afterwards.

Get a cream such as Tanactin, or Lamasil. Apply before putting on your socks and shoes for two weeks. The problem should finally go away.

Thanks for the question. Have a great day.
