QuestionI read your answer to Jennifer about pain in the tops of her feet. I have the same thing. But mine is the worst when I first wake up. I can barely stand up, much less walk. I have done the exercises you spoke of. I have been doing them for over a year. They seem to have made it worse. Mine started in my left foot. Now after doing the exercises for that long my right foot has started. I too am over weight, but like her it's been all my life. I work in retail so I am on my feet all day, but that too I have done since I started working at 15. I am now 32. I am lost at what to do. Can you help?
AnswerJennie,
If you can please give me more details of your foot pain. It sounds like you may have weak arches or muscles that are unable to support your arch. Is the pain only on the top or do you get heel pain or pain around the Achilles tendon?
Have you ever worn orthotic devices(arch supports)?
Have you had an x-ray or MRI to check the bones and soft tissue/tendons/ligaments?
