QuestionSorry Doctor to post again. I forgot to add some things. The warm sensation is on top of my left foot. I also notice I sit with my feet crossed with the left foot behind the right foot. Also I sometimes sit with my left foot with the left side resting on the ground with the right ankle laying on top of the foot. The left side ankle is not touching the floor, but the foot side is touching the floor, with my left knee sticking out. I know, poor sitting posture.
I don't feel a problem when I am walking or exercising.
These are some of the exercises I do:

I had this sensation start a short while before I started this in earnest. Before I was doing them every so often.
My whole body has tight muscles. Arms legs, neck pain. I am 100lbs overweight and am know starting to exercise (past couple of day) and eating right and changing my attitude to lose weight and just be healthy. This sensation has started to worry me and that always stops me from working out.
Sorry again for such a long post.
AnswerHi Lou,
That's a tough call. However, warm sensations in the foot can be due to nerve irritation or inflammation of foot joints or tendons. This could also be from a pinched nerve in the back which affects the foot and ankle.
There are many possibilities, however, if this continues and is bothersome I would see a Podiatrist. Let me know how this progresses. The warm sensation may just resolve on its own.
