QuestionMy Right Big Toe has a crusty rough area on Top of my joint - it "Looks" worse sometimes, than others. The Left Big Toe has the same condition, just not as bad.
It doesn't Hurt - it's just ugly. It's kind of bumpy & scaley.
What is it and can I make it go Away??
thank you.
AnswerHi Norma,
The rough scaly skin on your toe is usually due to rubbing of the shoe. There also may be a mild fungal infection of the toe. Other possibilities could be a wart but unlikely.
To start, I would us a cream twice daily.
Here is a suggestion:

In addition, use an antifungal cream from the drugstore, twice daily. Lightly rub with a pumice stone weekly.
If that doesn't help, please see a Podiatrist.
