QuestionI have an inflammation of the heel pad called a bursa. I have tried everything except total rest to heal it. It's been a year. I've had 2 cortisone shots, the first one helped for 3 months and then the second one didn't help much at all. Is there any other option? I'm very active.
AnswerKandi,
I would have to question whether you actually have bursitis. Is the pain on the bottom/sides of the heel or the back?
Does the pain radiate or move or feel like burning or lightening?
Do you have swelling or redness?
Any previous injuries?
When do you normally have the pain?
Have you had x-rays or MRI?
What other treatments have you had?
What types of Drs have you seen?
Let's answer these and then we will move forward.
Sincerely,
