Question
Dr. Katz, sorry to bother you but I asked a previous question and now know that my x-ray came back negative, I was refered to a podiatrist, and I am thinking that is could possibly be a peroneus brevis tendon injury.  I was wondering based on the info I gave in the previous question if this was a possibility, thank you in advance, and one answer for both is more than enough for me.  Thanks again, Krista

Answer
Yes that is possible.  The treatment would be the same as a foot sprain.  However, x-rays should be repeated if there is still a problem because stress fractures of the foot may take several weeks to show on x-ray.

If you continue to have pain associated with this injury I would consider CryoMax for relief.  This involves freezing of nerves that cause pain.  See my site for more info.
