QuestionHi. I have been having this problem for as long as I can remember. Whenever I try to move my foot upwards, I can never seem to be able to move it. The most I seem to be able to do is make my toes point upwards but my foot just doesn't move. It doesn't even work if I use my hands to try to move it upwards. There seems to be something stopping it. I can hardly even move it sideways. My left foot is perfectly fine and doesn't have any of these problems. What might be causing this?
AnswerHi Henry
Your foot should be x-rayed to see if there are any osseous abnormalities that may hinder your range of motion. You may even need an MRI to rule out cartilaginous abnormalities in your foot and ankle. You may have a coalition, which is when two bones in your foot are partially or fully fused to each other. You should visit a podiatrist for further diagnostics, and advice.
