QuestionOver the last three weeks while playing 5-a-side soccer both feet have become numb , the numbness travels up to just past my ankles on both feet it's like running with lead weights . I'm starting to worry because I'm 35 and played 5 & 11-a-side soccer for some time and I've had nothing like this before happen to me . Can you help ?
AnswerHI Paul,
It is common when playing sports to compress the nerves of the feet. I would look into a different pair of shoes and make sure that you are not lacing too tight. The are of the toes should have plenty of room. If the numbness does not resolve I would see a podiatrist.
Sorry for the delay in answering.
