QuestionThe other night when I was walking, I went to take a step I landed on the side of my foot. After the incident I could walk fairly normal with some pain but this morning when I got up I could barely walk on it without pain. The pain is on my right foot, on the outer right side, half way between my heel and my big toe. I have no ankle pain at all. When I flex my toes up or down, this also causes slight pain. There is little to no swelling and no redness. I don't know if when I landed on it, it stretched out a muscle or ligament and that抯 my problem or if its more serious like a fracture. If you need any more information let me know.
AnswerHi Brian,
I would see a podiatrist for an exam and x-ray. You may have a fracture or torn tendon/ligament. In either case you may require some immobilization and treatment.
