QuestionIf my shoes start to wear out, I get terrible cramping under
the ball of my foot. It actually feels broken, and becomes
impossible to walk on. Good shoes seem to keep this from
happening. I've gone to a podiatrist twice while in pain and
they've suggested shoe changes, and given me sticky moleskin
thingies to stick onto the area under the ball of my foot.
Should I be thinking about getting orthotics, or should I
just make sure my shoes do not wear out too much?
AnswerShoes are cheaper than orthotics
Orthotics work a lot better than shoes-and they are custom made to your foot----so a well made pair is the answer.
If you can afford the orthotics---get them!
Hopes this helps
