Question
According to the guy I am seeing, plantar fac..is brought on through bad back conditions.... in my case it is most obvious. My right hip has rotated right out of place since my last appointment a week ago, and my muscles have all but 'frozen' up from my waist down to my ankles...I am not suffering from back ache at all, which has him stunned,  he recons with the condition of my back and muscles I shouldn't even be able to get up in the morning. I think the part of my brain that operates my back has 'malfunctioned' and gone on strike

Answer
Hi Claire,

Back problems and heel pain can be related but that is certainly not the case for many people. In many cases heel pain can cause knee, hip and back pain.  If your hip has rotated out of place and your muscles are frozen, this sounds more serious.  You may want to consider seeing a neurologist if there is muscle weakness or malfunction.
