Answer
This Chicago & Elmhurst Podiatrist says.......

Dear Stefani,

Although we are surgeons & orthopedists of the foot & ankle-most of us are familiar with hip pathology.
You probably have irritated the joint or tendon(s) in the hip area. Unless you have had previous dislocations-it is rare to dislocate & relocate
Try PRICE
Protect-Limit the movements that aggravate it.
Rest-Speaks for itself-perhaps the weekend when you are off-rest it.
Ice- As much as you can tolerate. Pros put the injured area into an ice bath for 15 minutes! Try ice packs instead for 3-4 days. Avoid heat in the area for 4-5 days
Compress-Gentle pressure in the area if swollen.
Elevate-Will help if it throbs at the end of the day.
Take max doses of anti-inflammatories (try Alleve) for about 5 days-as long as you don't have any stomach problems.

If these suggestions don't help  then seek the aid of an Orthopedist

Good Luck!
