QuestionYes, this is about a finger! About Sept 08, I was assisting a crane lift, and some shackle slid into my little finger. I didn't think it was broke at the time, but about a month later, after I started a different job, I noticed a bump on the side of my little finger. It appears to be bone growth, and seems like it may be growing very slowly. I can feel slight pain occasionally. I believe the bone needs to be shaved or something. Can you discuss possible treatment options?
AnswerThis Chicago & Elmhurst Podiatrist says.......
Hi Michael,
You injured the bone and as it repairs itself it adds bone producing a bone spur. This bone spur may or may not remain.
If it hurts or you are concerned see a good hand orthopedist
Hope This Helps
Good Luck!
