Unknown lumps on outer edge of feet

Question
Hello...I am a 40 y/o white male, 6'7", about 225lbs. I discovered several soft lumps on the outer sides of my feet, both near the heel and closer to the small toes. I do not see or feel these lumps when my feet are elevated, only when I apply pressure or stand. When standing, the lumps are the size of small BBs, but they give me no pain, and I am able to apply pressure and push them back into the flesh of the side of the foot. I'm curious as to what they are and if they will eventually cause any problems. I appreciate any insight you are able to provide.

Answer
It is probably a "fatty deposit" called a lipoma.  Very common on these areas and completely benign.  If they provide no pain, I would not worry about them.  A visit to your podiatrist will give a more thorough answer.

All the best,
