QuestionWeek before last I noticed after doing aerobic exercises a recurring pain which seems to be located just above my little toe. The pain is present when I push off that area of my foot and when I move my little toe in any direction. I haven't worked out since then hoping that it would help but it hasn't.
I am concerned that the shoe I purchased on line (which I'll never do again# my have played a part in this. They do fit very snug or may be too narrow around the front of my feet. Since I can move my toe does that eliminate a fracture? Should i continue to not exercise, and use the RICE method?
I will discontinue using the footwear, #cross trainers) for sure, but what else would you suggest if anything.
Thank you,
Bill
AnswerThe ability to move the toe is not a sign whether it is fractured or not. First of all, switch shoes. Get properly fitted in an athletic shoe store and visit a podiatrist to evaluate your pain and ensure it's not injured.
