Question
Can a removable cast be used if someone is undergoing surgery from under the foot for a Morton's neuroma?  Do they make any for that?  I realize a person still may not be able to weight bear, but at least they could get the cast off if they had to due to a foot cramp/leg spasm etc.

Answer
This Chicago, South Loop & Elmhurst Orthopedic Podiatrist of AnklenfootCenters.com says.......

Dear Donna

There is little indication/reason for a cast in just neuroma surgery for the foot-Even for a plantar incision-unless scarring or obesity is a concern.
Seek a second opinion from a Board Certified Podiatrist.

Hope This Helps!

Good Luck!
