Question
Dear Dr Georeg,

I went to a spa salon for pedicure and then i mentioned that i have a dry skin on my feet heel cuz of walking a lot on my hoenymoon (only dry skin but I i didnt have callus )...so the lady recommanded callus treatment ...cuz i was so naive i didnt know what callus is ..i thought she meant some spa treatment for the dry skin --i do recall she treated my feet with formulating AHA Serums and then she rubbed my heel feet so deeply that i felt half of my heel feet was rubbed(it was the cause of the salon treatment that got calluses on my feet) ...cuz after 5 days of the treatment ...i got my first calluses on my feet...will soaking my feet with warm water and putting vaseline and wearing socks before going to bed  helps the calluses go away...or will calluses ever go on its own?

Regards,
jll

Answer
This Chicago, South Loop & Elmhurst Laser Podiatrist of AnklenfootCenters.com says.......

Dear Jll
Foot calluses are related to your weight, amount of walking, what kind of surface walking on, and the cushion/type of the shoe. Sometimes as we get older the bones in the foot may also move to a slightly different position making a callus.
Similar to a callus on the palm of the hand produced from work. More work, no gloves-bigger callus.
Try a pumice stone to control the growth of any callus.
A foot cream is better than Vaseline & socks.
Go to our website store at AnkleNFoot.com for examples of creams & pumice stones for your foot.
Hope This Helps
Good Luck !!!
