Hello,
I am 51 year old female who has just had her first visit to a Chiropractor. I was told that my neck no longer has curve which maybe why I am experiencing shoulder, neck and hip pain. The doctor is suggesting 3 visits a week for about 4 months then a reduction to 2 visits to see if he can straighten the cervical neck. It this standard or should I seek a second opinion.

Are you seeing an Upper Cervical Doctor (someone who specializes in the neck) or a general chiropractor?

To answer your question it all depends on your case history, and examination. I don't know anything about your case. There are circumstances that necessitate a care schedule like you are suggesting.
