Question
I had an electric shock type of zap go through my upper body and arms today during a cervical adjustment. I have C6 and C7 herniated. I was born with scoliosis and also have L1 to S1 herniated. Is it normal to get a zap during and adjustment of the neck. I have not had it happen in the past. I'm worried that at this point my back is to far gone and should not see a chiropractor anymore. Are spinal adjustments contraindicated for multiple herniated discs? I have gotten steroid injections in the past.

I would recommend speaking to your Doctor about this so that he can properly address your question. As there is not enough info given. It sounds as though you are going to a general chiropractor we specialize in the upper neck there is not description of what he is doing? So it would be best to speak with him regarding your concerns.
