Question
I had an accident about a year ago and injured my neck and back.  The MRI right after the accident did not show any levoscoliosis.  I recently had an MRI and was noted for having a mild levoscoliosis in the cervical spine. Could this have been caused by the accident?  Thank you!

Answer
Christopher,

Thank you for your question. You are right on with you thinking. You can develop a scoliosis weeks or even months after an accident. First I would check the imaging to make sure you were not placed improperly showing a false positive.

Kind regards,
