Question
About 48 hours ago my wife started complaining about a sharp pain in her lower back. She has had back pain in the past but I know something was different this time. I herd her scream and I ran to her. She showed me that her whole body above her hips had shifted and was crooked. I'm kind of freaked out and very worried. I've been searching the Internet all night and found this sight. I hope you can give some information on what this might be and what I can do to help her. Thanks

Thank you for your question.  

The extreme way in which you describe the situation and the alarm it causes you make me suggest that you should not be seeking an e-mail evaluation of your wife - or any other at-a-distance method of trying to figure this out.  It would be irresponsible, at best, for anyone to hazard a guess as to what is happening with her or what she may need to do about it.  

So, while I can advise you on the use and principles behind non-therapeutic straight chiropractic, such would be no replacement for a first-hand evaluation for first-aid emergency procedures or any emergent medical attention that could be had at an emergency room.
