QuestionHi, I am a 15 year old male. I play three sports a year, and especially during baseball season (i believe because i play it the most) i always get lower back pain. This first started when i was around the age of 12 or 13 when i used to play catcher. Some of the symptoms are that i can't run when i am experiencing this pain, and more specifically i believe it is on the left side of my spine. I'm not sure if this is related but every time i lift and lower my left leg, the place where the pain comes from cracks, even when it is not bothering me. If you could help steer me in the right direction that would be greatly appreciated!
AnswerJeremy,
It sounds to me like you have an instability in your spine. This usually comes from an instability in the upper cervical spine (where the head meets the spine) and then trickles down along the entire spine and symptoms show up at a different location. I would highly recommend that you get an evaluation from an Upper Cervical Doctor of Chiropractic. Some of these Doctors offer a free consultation or if not, they can tell you either on the first or second visit if this is something that they can help you with or not.
If you would like me to help you to find a qualified Doctor, just send me your town and state and I will try my best to find someone for you.
Yours in best health,
Dr Robert Arnone, DC
