Lower back inflammation pain

Question
I hope I'm asking the right person (don't want to waste your time).  I've had chronic lower back pain for years which makes it difficult to sleep.  I haven't been in any car accident or anything like that.  I could use losing some weight from my stomach but in the meantime, I'd like to ask your opinion about a product.
This is a back decompression device made by a company called TEETERS.  You lie down on it and use your arms to push on levers (I believe) and it stretches your back.  There's all kinds of testimonials about how great it is and how it's helped "them".  Have you heard of it and is it all it's cracked up to be?  It costs about $130.00 and I'd have to order it online.

Thank you so much if you could help!
Terry

Answer
Terry,
Forcing your spine into decompression only adds to the instability that you already have.  You would need to have your spine aligned properly and give that a try, if for some reason you were still having trouble and felt that you needed to have a spinal decompression, than I might suggest a gravity chair where you would hang upside down in the chair for about 10 minutes or so.
If you would like help in locating a specific chiropractor (doctor who utilizes instrumentation to check the nervous system and is much more conservative on adjustments), then send me your town and state.   I will reply back with at least one name for you.

All the best,
