QuestionQUESTION: Can you recommend someone in the Phx, AZ area? I have a bulging disk at c5-6 and according to the EMG, a blockage at c7-8 (which I'm thinking is the disk @ c6-7). I have frequent hand numbness, thumb side, pinky side, sometimes just finger tips and on my left hand, the 2 middle fingers feel like someone is pounding on them with a hammer (all dependent on how I hold my head). I'm debating getting the disk injected with cortisone (?), but am hesitant to do the epidural. But, I'm also at a point where the left hand is getting very annoying (an painful). My orthopedist recommended that if I go to a chiropractor, that I not let him adjust c5-6 at all. What are your thoughts?
ANSWER: I agree with not adjusting at c5-6. I will try to find you an upper cervical specific doctor in your area that is up to par. This is the doctor that you need. Give me a day or two and then write back so I can reply to that message with my recommendations.
We also have a two week intensive program at our clinic that helps people from other states come over and get well with a follow up 3 day intensive 3 months later.
I will look for a great doctor for you and reply to your message with the info.
