Lower-back shift caused knee pain?

Question
Hello,
personal data: 24y old male 5'9" 135lbs
Problem: I feel slight pain in my lumbar region (pain is a 2 on  a scale of 1-10), but for the last week when i stand up from a sitting position, in the back of my right knee i feel some pain and tension when i extend the knee. The left knee has a different pain, it is in the front and medially from the patella and the pain is a "tearing" pain with skin numbness. The left knee tearing pain has been increasing in intensity since it started.
My theory:
i've noticed while looking in the mirror (facing it) that when i stand it looks like my back is deviated to the left (meaning that my left shoulder stands lower than the right, and there is a greater curvature seen on the left side of the abdoman than on the right side).  In my opinion this could be caused by the fact that i spend a lot of time sitting at a desk and when i write with my right hand i tend to lean to the left side.
History: no major accidents or trauma at all. Do not participate in any violent sport  and participate in min-moderate exercise.
???: Does this make sense? What can i do? Is it possible to reverse this crooked situation? In what position should i sleep? Any specific Exercises to do at home, any specific way of stretching? (i don't wanna make this worse and would like the pain to stop)
Thank you for your time
Andrew J.

Answer
Andrew,
You are very smart for looking at yourself in the mirror and noticing a shoulder difference in height.  Your posture is a window to the spine.  I want you to look in the mirror again and take notice of the tops of your ears, do they look level and balanced, or is one ear higher than the other.  Then look at how your neck sits atop your torso, is it straight or is it leaning to one side?  How about your head is it sitting on your neck straight or is it shifted to one side?
The cause of your problem is in the upper cervical spine, where the head meets the top of the neck and where the all-important brainstem resides.  A Subluxation in this area can cause literally any condition to result.
You need to go to an Upper Cervical Specific Doctor and get an evaluation, he or she will be able to explain to you what is happening and actually show it you from pictures and more.
There is no way that your body can function normally without this interference properly corrected and maintained in correction over time.
If you would like a referral, send me your town and state so I may get you the contact information of a great doctor.  Please keep in mind that there are less than 500 of us in the entire world so you may have to travel some for this specific care, it is well worth it.  We have many patients who travel from out of state to come to us because they understand how we are different than 99% of the doctors in the world and the work that we do gets the results that you are looking to obtain.
Nothing is bigger than LIFE,
Dr Rob Arnone
