Question
I am a legal transcriber trying to transcribe a deposition from a chiropractor and some of his speech is hard to hear.  It sounds like he's saying "grammer progression test"  and another one sounds like "sodahaul test"  and another one sounds like obdominous remover".  can you help me?  I would appreciate it.  Andi Robinson

Answer
Dear Andi,

Thank you for your question.

Without the benefit of hearing the tape, let's see what I can do for you.

What you hear as "grammer progression" may be "foraminal compression."
"Sodahaul" may be "Soto Hall."  These are two forms of diagnostic tests often used in the older form of chiropractic known as therapeutic mixed chiropractic.  The last one is not obvious.  Though it's possible the first word is "abdominus," part of the latin name of a stomach muscle, "remover" doesn't seem to translate relatedly to this.  Maybe he's saying "maneuver," though more context may be needed to figure this out.

I hope this may be of some help.

Sincerely,
James W. Healey, DC
