QuestionDr. Healey,
I read your comments about me in the thread labeled Chirotalk. The purpose of this message is to inform you that you are mistaken about myself and the site and inform you of the error.
You state that Chirotalk represents a mixing viewpoint. It does not. It represents a skeptical viewpoint where both mixing, straight and other forms of chiropractic are critically explored. Members hold varying opinions regarding chiropractic. Many hold the position that the anti-science orientation of the field is too entrenched to promote evidence based practice and would like to see it eliminated with useful techniques integrated into physical therapy. Increased external regulation is considered necessary.
My feelings about chiropractic are not due to a lack of success in the field. I have written about them in the article 揥hy I Quit Chiropractic?on Chirobase.org. Please remove this statement from AllExperts and refrain from making derogatory personal comments about me in the future.

AnswerDear Allen Botnick, DC,
Thank you so much for reading my materials.
I looked back at the thread you mentioned and found that I made no derogatory personal comments nor do I feel there were inaccuracies in my statements.
While we have not had much communication (I seem to remember you had written to me on another occasion, perhaps through this site), it is increasingly apparent that we differ greatly in many ways in our views on the chiropractic profession. Disagreement is not a suitable or sufficient reason for me change my viewpoint. I suspect you, too, would dismiss similar requests to alter yours.
Again, I appreciate your interest and encourage you see the full context of my writings and to consider building a greater understanding of non-therapeutic straight chiropractic, whether or not you choose to pursue it as a profession.
Sincerely,
James W. Healey, DC
