Scar Tissue Removal

Question
I had a cyst removed from my T2-3 in 1990 and had fantastic walking till recently. I was told it most likely was scar tissue and if so, after my myelogram, they will remove it. I realize you can't answer my question in great details. Since I can still walk, and feel my legs with a bit of numbness from time to time, but lean oneverything in site, and walk only short distances. Would you think that removing the scar tissue will give a person more mobility and fuction back to the affected leg? Thanks,

Bill

Answer
As you implied, I can't say with any detail on the long-term effect of the scar removal because I have no medical records or X-rays and I have no way to know about any potential permanent damage to your spinal cord.  Having said that, I believe that you could see improvement in both mobility and function following the scar removal.  Of course, physical therapy following the operation will be vitally important.

Thank you for your question, Bill.  I hope that my answer is helpful.
