Doctors have advised surgery as physiotherapy is not working much ...also I have a sitting or field Job ... I have heard that in case of surgery there are chances of paralysis.. I have a regular pain in my lower back and left leg which is acute at times...What do you suggest would surgery make it any better and paralysis??? Also please consider my job after surgery will i be able to continue the same?
AnswerHi Aparna,
Surgery never works, thank God you asked for a second opinion before it was too late!
Physical therapy makes your condition worse, they order it to justify the unnecessary surgery. It sounds criminal, it is.
Your condition is successfully treated by the thousands every day by Chiropractors with the right equipment, trick is, finding one that has it.
What you want to do is call around your local area and find a D.C. that has either Flexion/Distraction tables (preferred) or spinal decompression tables.
Make sure they graduated from an accredited school, stay away from Life and Sherman graduates. Preferably find one that went to NUHS or NCC.
Read the Spinal surgery questions and you will soon realize that once you have it, you will most likely be worse off, in a wheel chair or dead.
The only indication for surgery is loss of bowel and bladder control, that and a very few other conditions.
Run, don't walk from anyone that recommends you have surgery.
This is the 21st century, it is sad that they still get away with unnecessary surgeries, but that is the reality of a capitalistic medical system.
Find a D.C. with the appropriate above listed credentials and you have a 90%+ chance of a favorable outcome.
Good luck and best wishes,
Dr. Timothy Durnin
