QuestionI am a 41 yr old female, recently put on about 25 extra lbs.
I have been have mid back pain for a while (just below my shoulder blades, mostly right side).
Just wanted to know what this means in layman terms:
1. Mild mid thoracic disc degeneration at T4-5 through T6-7
2. No significant thorasic disc protrusion, central canal stenosis, or neural foraminal stenosis
3. Disc degeneration seen at the edge of field of vies at the C6-7 level, with a central/left paracentral disc protrusion and osteophytic ridging along the dorsal marginof the vertebral body. There is moderate narrowing of the left side of the central canal and bilateral neural foramina.
4. If there are symptoms of cervical radiculopathy, further evaluation with MRI of the cervical spine may be considered.
Would anything here cause my back problem? Also, having head aches (very mild), would anything here be the source?
Won't see my doc for another three weeks.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
AnswerWhat this means is your neck discs are herniated, and it is putting pressure on the exiting nerve roots. Have you considered Chiropractic care as an option?
Also you may benefit from cervical spinal decompression.
Also I would recommend that you get a neck MRI, because this report reads as if it is a Thoracic MRI.
