QuestionI am a service disabled veteran who suffers from almost ten years of CLBP and in recent years, pain in my upper back and much in my neck.
I have undergone loads of therapy including chiropractic, accupuncture, physical thearapy, I have tried just about everything (everything actually, that I can think of) with the exception of VAXD and surgery. I am highly considering surgery but not before VAXD. Problem is that my VA benefits are minimal and my company health insurance refuses to pay. I am fighting the battle with my health insurange company and the VA with the help of a Health Advocacy group, The Disabled Veterans of America, etc...
I am hoping you might help me to find some examples of health plans that cover S9090, as I am being told that noone does and I know this is not the case. The DAV and my Health Advocacy group say that if I we can prove this as wrong, we might have a shot of getting something done but until then we are hopeless. Please help!
AnswerHi Josh,
I am sorry to hear of your 10 year suffering of chronic low back pain. Especially in light of your service to your country. While it is true that I am an expert in the area of non-surgical spinal decompression I am located in Canada and am only familiar with Canadian insurance coverage as it pertains to this procedure and as such I have no knowledge of any the American health plans whatsoever. I truly wish I could be of service to you in this area. I have spent some time trying to get this information for you but have not been successful.
I would suggest contacting your local health insurance broker, local government representative in your town and of course the VA, and the DVA to get more information and perhaps support in this area.
I sincerely wish you luck in your search and hope you get the care you need swiftly.
I would very much like to hear what progress you make in this pursuit so please keep in touch with me if possible.
I would appreciate it if you could take a moment out to rate this answer and consider to nominate me as expert of the month.
Sincerely,
Dr. Ron Nusbaum
