Yes, I have heard of this type of  procedure but I don't know much about the details.

As far as this method coming to the States, you have to remember that it would first need to be approved by the FDA, AMA and/or some other group. Many doctors are skeptical of the results or it would be here already.

In my opinion, doctors, in general, are reluctant to try anything new or experimental because people are so ready to sue for the slightest reason. Even if the doctor wins in court, he loses because his reputation is tarnished.
