ANSWER: Hi Manoj-
I am sorry to hear about your brother. I am also sorry to have to say that I have never heard of anyone with an actual spinal cord injury (which it sounds like he has) that was able to walk again.
He can still do many things for himself though- I am not sure what services are like in India, what kind of rehabilitation facilities they have there... Try contacting a hospital in his area, perhaps, or search for rehab hospitals online and try to ask questions.
Good Luck to you both-

QUESTION: I have lot about Stem cell therapy which is available in India. but don't if it would help in that case.
ANSWER: Hi- To the best of my knowledge, they haven't been sucessful in stem cell work with spinal cords as yet. Hopefully they will very soon-
But you should double-check my info on this, just to be sure. I don't think that news could have gotten by me, but just in case... You can see alot of research info by going to this website
www.craighospital.org/
they have their own research center there plus links to other sites.
good luck

QUESTION: Hi,
4 weeks after injury, he is still in bed. His both arms are working 100%, he can lift his right leg 1 feet above in air and slight movement in left leg. he can feel touch every where. He is not having control on urine and stool but he feel when it's gonna empty.
How good these improvements are? what are the chances he can improve more
Answerhi Manoj-
what you report sounds great! He must have had a very incomplete injury- which is better than the alternative (complete).
If this is indeed the case, it is very hard to say how much he may improve further. Most often improvement is seen in the first 6 months, if it is seen. I'm sorry I don't have more to give you- there are very few exact answers with this type of injury.
may he continue to improve!
