Question
Thanks..i am 15 and i have a lil brother and sister whom are 8 and 5..we went to see my mother the other day and i guess she is starting to beable to drink again without it going to her lungs so they are going to do some tests on her to see if she can start on jello or something also they said she is now starting to take breaths on her own occasionally, we don't care if she will walk again we just want her off the breathing machine so she can come home. we (me and lil brother and sister) have been staying with our grandma and grandpa and we barely get to go in see her since we live in Missouri and shes in Nebraska!Well thanks again for the help...

Yeah, you're at an age where they'll not want to be straight ahead with you, I'm afraid. That is a drag.

But it's great if she's starting to be able to drink- you can't drink when you have the ventilator on (you don't eat or drink or talk when you've got the vent) so she must be getting able to have it off at least for short times! (this is how it was for me, anyway, and eventually I did get to take it off forever- i am hopeful it will be this way for her too)
