Question
My daughter had a planned surgery to have her rectum removed and a j pouch placed and she was left paralyzed from the waist down afterwards.  What could have possibly caused this?  Could the doctor have severed her spine in some way?  I'm just looking for any kind of answers that make sense.  Thanks!

I am not going to tell you I know the answer to your question, but I will say it sounds like you have a legitimate reason to think along those lines. Is your daughter going for any rehab because of her condition? My suggestion is to talk with a neurologist, they could surely give you some answers. I hope this helps you.
