QuestionA good friend of mine was traveling in Africa and had an accident, he has a complete break in his cervical spine. He is breathing with help and is paralyzed from the neck down (quad) Do you know if it is possible for any recovery i.e, lung, movement, etc. Can you feel anything? What about sex? He has had surgery, the doctors say its a complete break, will he regain his lung capacity? Be able to move or have sex? Another friend of mine said there was something out there that could be connected to his head and his thoughts could be recorded(so that he could write on his own) do you know anything about this? Thanks so much for your time. K
AnswerDear Katherine, I am so sorry to hear about your friends injury. I am sorry to say if his injury is complete his outlook isn't very positive. But that said technology is getting closer than ever to coming up with a cure. I will pray for your friend and for his ability to regain as much as possible. I know there are injections you can get which can produce erections. There are many ways to have sex, so that is still a possibility. But quite honestly I would imagine your friend is going to need as much support as possible at this time and will have a rough road to hoe. I am sorry for not being more positive, but miracles do happen. And I will pray for one for your friend. Sincerely, Ken
