Question
hi my name is desiree and my boyfriend had gotten crushed in the mines back in 2002. well he broke the whole side of his left face and now all it is metal.but he also broke his c2 and c3 in this neck well they done surgery on him. they took bone out of his hip and fused it to c2 and c3 and it hasnt bothered him since he had gotten the surgery but now it cant even move his neck it tenses up and it hurts him real bad. he has been hurting like this for 5 days now. he said that when it did hurt which was very rare that it would hurt for a day or a half a day and go away but now it has been hurting him for the past 5 days...and it also feels like hes having muscle spasms.a dn if he goes to the doctors around here they wont even see him they tell him to go back to the doctor that done the surgery. what can he and i do to stop the pain because pain medication is not helping him.he is in so much pain please help to figure out what we can do..

Dear Desiree, I would either have your boyfriend see the doctor who performed the surgery or see a neurologist ASAP. Medication doesn't sound like a solution. I'm sorry I couldn't tell you more, but honestly he needs professional help and a neurologist is probably your best option. I hope you guys get the help you need, having pain can be so debilitating.
