I ate lots of sea foods and beans before it happened, does foods cause the problem?
AnswerHello,
It sounds very much to me like you have a strong food allergy, and specifically to sea food and legume (beans), since you noticed the pain and swelling after you ate those certain foods. Also, food is often a trigger for migraines, so this would explain your headaches. Food allergies are very common and relatively easy to treat; lay off the trigger foods (in your case, seafood and beans) for a while, and take careful notice of how you feel. Do your symptoms decrease or disappear when you don't eat those foods? Are there other foods that seem to cause the same response? Keeping a food diary would be beneficial; it would aid by allowing you to look back at what you've eaten on the days during which you've had pain and see if you can find a discernable pattern.
Also, I'd suggest you see an allergist. Allergists are MD's that specialize in pinpointing and treating allergies, whether to allergens in the air, or as in your case, foods. He or she can advise you further.
Finally, if you do consume these foods in the future (before you see the allergist) and suddenly find it difficult to breathe, head to an emergency room directly. Food allergies can cause labourous breathing as well.
I hope I was able to help!
God bless,
Celeste
