Question
I have been taking percocet for the past 24 hours and I have to take it until Friday because of a broken tooth and I was wondering why it makes me itch. Is there anything I can do? I am a 28 year old female who is nursing a 2 month old. I can not take Vicodin and darvocet doesn't seem to effect me at all. Just curious, it's driving me nuts.

You may be having an allergic reaction to the medication and you should stop taking it immediately - you might even want to take an Antihistamine to reverse the reaction. If the itching gets worse or you hve any difficulty breathing, please go to emergency or call 911. You should also go talk to your doctor and tell him the meds made you itchy so it's on your medical record. There are plenty of other analgesics available so you can take something else for the tooth pain.
