leg and foot numbness

Question
Hi
11 years ago i had back surgery in the L4-L5 area. As far as I was concerned surgery was a success.
Now the problem,  2 years ago I was driving in an uncomfortable car for 3 1/2 hours,  when I got out I had pretty bad leg pain. This was on Friday.  By saturday the pain was pretty intense.  By Sunday the pain was very extreme, I went to the hospital for some kind of relief, they gave me a shot of pain killer.  after I got discharged I felt tingleing in my calf and foot. By monday my foot was really numb and weak. I have been seeing an orthopedic who sent me for an mri.  Apparently it did not show much and he told me there is nothing he can do,  he feels it is related to the old injury.
Months later I noticed atrophy in my calf and went back to the doctor who sent me for another mri, emg, and a mylogram. After all that testing he still told me there is nothing he can do.
3 weeks ago my back got really sore and the back of my thigh became numb, I went again for another mri and am waiting for results.  I still get a lot of pain in my foot that makes it hard for me to sit still and depending on ways I move or sit I get shooting pain in my foot.
Please tell me that there is something I can do to get tingleing and pain free.
Hermann

Answer
Hi Hermann and thanks for writing,

You really need to see a Neurologist to be assessed and diagnosed, you might also consult a Sports Medicine doctor for some physio to strengthen the supporting muscles in your spine.

I would also recommend trying Magnetic Therapy - I have known a lot of people (inclding myslef) that have receieved a lot of relief from Magnets. If you do try them, make sure you get quality products like Nikken. If you use my name at http://www.5pillars.com/magnify4health/ you can get wholesale prices.

I hope this helps, all my best.

Margot
