QUESTION: fell 3 weeks ago, large lump on head.   Iced down and lump got small.  had catscan was ok.  small lump still there after three weeks. sometimes mild headaches.  How long will it take for lump to go away.  Is this normal?

Goose Eggs can take a while to completely go away so I wouldn't worry as long as you're not having any recurring symptoms (visual changes, drainage, sleepiness, etc).

QUESTION: what is drainage, how is it different than say a runny nose?

Answer
Drainage is clear fluid and would be unexpected; when we have a runny nose we are usually a bit stuffy or have allergies. Drainage is very rare so I wouldn't; loss sleep, it's something you look for immediately after a head injury, not weeks later.
