QuestionHi,
I have a peculiar problem. When i strain myself mentally (working too hard to solve problems / understand a complex concept)or physically (like playing basket ball after a 7-8 months) or standing in a queue for a long time(45 mins), I get severe head ache. Things are strange after that. If I move my head in any direction, the whole of my head aches a lot. I get my temperature high (103 Deg), shivering. if i try sleeping, so many thoughts get picked up and keep on going in my head continously. But even in those thoughts / dreams, i will be having severe head ache, unable to move my head. Even in the dreams if i turn around, the changes in vision are too slow to react. ie., while i turn my head around, I feel i am moving my head very slowly as i see things move very slow.
So many thoughts run in my head at that time. I feel that around 6 hours had passed, but only 10 mins would have passed actually after i wake up. This head ache remains severly for two days, and then slowly reduces till a weeks time.
My Blood Pressure also goes little low (110) during these times.
The things which are happening in my dreams still increase my head ache. So much of junk things happen within my head gives me a feel that I have slept for around 6-7 hours, whereas only 10 mins would've passed. And i am unable to avoid those thoughts during head ache.
As the head ache is so terrific that i have to give up my normal activities atleast for a weeks time. I feel very tired and dizziness remains atleast for 4-5 days.
As mentioned earlier, this happens only when i strain myself and especially get my head wet with sweat or while i take head bath(even though i ensure thorough wiping of head).
During this head ache, I feel that, every second some one is hitting my head with a heavy material in all the directions.
The head ache starts right from my eyebrows till my spinal chord in the back side and till the border of ears (not ears) in the sides.
Pls suggest me what problem i may be having, whether it is common, and how to avoid it.
AnswerHi Mohmed and thanks for writing,
It sounds like you are experiencing several health issues which are obviously affecting your quality of life.
The best thing to do is to get a thorough medical examination so I recommend you start by booking a full physical with your family physician and asking him for a referral to a psychiatrist for a full psychiatric assessment.
Between the two examinations you should be able to accurately diagnose any physical and/or psychiatric health issues and begin treatment asap; the sooner you begin treatment, the sooner you抣l feel better and regain good health.
Wishing you all the best,
Margot
