Question
I am 16 years old and have been getting very severe migraines everyday for
the past 3+weeks.  I have seen several doctors, but they cant seem to
figure
out what has been causing them.  I have been a Vegetarian for about 2 years,
and was wondering if this was causing them.

I have been suffering from migraines for about 2 years and my becoming a
vegetarian is concern of myself and my parents. please help.

thanks, sarah :)

Answer
Hi, Sarah.

My experience with migraine clients is that the muscles of the neck are involved -- the scalenes and suboccipitals.  Diet would be a factor only in the case of a toxic (junk food) diet combined with poor elimination or in the case of someone who was fasting and eliminating toxicity -- and that wouldn't lead to migraines, but to tension headaches.

You may read my article on headaches at somatics.com/page4b.htm, for more.
