WELL I HAVE GETTING BACK SHOTS FOR A WHILE AND EVERYTIME i GO SEE THE DOC THEY HAVE A DIFFICULT TIME FINDING MY RECORDS AND THIS TIME THEY GUESSED i HAD A HYSTERECTOMY NO SURE OF THE SPELLING  BUT I ASKED WHAT DOES THAT MEAN BECAUSE AT THE TIME i WAS NOT SURE UNTIL I TEED MY SISTER AND ASKED HER BUT ANY WHO THEY DIDN'T FIND A RECORD OF PREVIOUS PROCEDURES AND ASSUMED I HAD THE HYSTERIC, AND i CAME HOME AND JUST HAPPEN TO TAKE THE PREG. TEST AND THIS CAME OUT POSITIVE CAN i BE ENDANGERING MY FETUS AND CAN THE PAIN CLINIC BE IN SOME TROUBLE FOR NOT GIVING ME A TEST AN ASSUMING SOME THINGS PLEASE HELP ME UNDERSTAND WHAT TO DO ,

Hi Mary,
  First off let me say that steroid injections given into the back are usually local and very little of it gets absorbed systemically so your baby should be fine. Just to be on the safe side be sure to check with your OB/GYN to make sure everything is okay with your baby.

I would be VERY concerned about any doctor's office that routinely loses patient records and then will go on to treat that patient without any previous medical records. Did they not ask you if you had ever had a hysterectomy? If they asked you that and you told them that you had a hysterectomy then the pain clinic is not responsible.
Regardless I would recommend that you find a new pain clinic. I would not trust this clinic under normal circumstances so I definitely wouldn't trust them to come up with pain control treatment that is both effective AND safe for my unborn child.
