Question
I was in a roll over accident on a highway 7yrs.ago that has left me w/ excruciating pain in my lower back.I take soma and oxycontin for the pain.My psychiatrist now want to put me on Vyvance for ADHD,but he told me that i had to get off soma and oxycontin.would all three of these meds interact badly together?

   I do not know a whole lot about Vyvanse so I really can't give you much advice about it. I do know that it will do very little for pain relief. I also know that some medications for ADHD treatment, like Adderall, can be taken with the Oxycontin but I don't know about the Soma. Talk with your doctor about other medications that can be taken with the pain medication so you will not have to choose between pain relief and treatment for your ADHD. Don't hesitate to consult with another doctor if your current doctor is unwilling to work with you on this issue.
The best person to ask about drug interactions is your pharmacist.
