QuestionHi-I have developed severe disk problems which cause my back to go into spasm. My doctor has prescribed Soma for when that happens, but I am 67, have low blood pressure, but also had a TIA last year and am on aspirin therapy. I also have a leaking aortic valve. I read that Soma should not be given to elderly people. Is there any muscle relaxant that would have less side effects for elderly people? Thank you, Annette

Hello, Annette,
I don't recommend muscle relaxants; my practice makes them unnecessary.
Disc problems don't cause back muscles to go into spasm; back muscles in spasm cause disc problems.
