I would be happy to answer your questions, but keep in mind that I am not a psychologist.
Would you still want me to answer?

Hi, actually, yes, i would still really appreciate your answers to these questions. thank you for clarifying that, though.
Answer1. What lead you to study and choose this type of psychology for a career?
I volunteered in a sheltered workshop when I was 16. I liked the work so much, that I continued to work and stay in the field.
2. What kind of setting do you work in?
I currently work in a rehab facility, running and intensive residential treatment facility for children who are disabled. I serve 78 kids in group homes and apartments, providing them with supports that assist with activities of daily living.
3. What are the pros and cons of this field, what do you enjoy and feel to be the downfalls?
Pros: I get an enormouse sense of satisfaction for having helped someone to experience a better life.
Cons: Helping people who are in crisis can be stressful at times. You have to be able to leave your work (mentally) when you go home, and not let it effect you too much.
4. Is is difficult to work with these physically and mentally ill people all the time?
Not at all. I really enjoy going to work every day.
5. What attributes does a person need for this career?
Patience, and a positive attitude.
6. What school did you attend? Did you go through any internships?
I attended Springfield College School of Human Services and recieved my Bachelors, (soon to receive my Masters). No internship.
7. Do you work with these people for a lifetime? No, but I have kept in touch with some over the years.
8. What is the most difficult task in this career?
Finding good staff to work with the kids.
