Question
I will be giving a 3-4 minute speech on Intellectual Disabilities for speech class. This topic is of great importance to me because I have an older brother with Down syndrome. I will also be later giving a persausive speech on this topic. So, for the informative I am trying to break Intellectual Disabilities into 2-3 main ideas. This is where I am having a hard time. I have lots of info and trying to narrow it down for a 3-4 minute speech. If you could help this would be much appreciated.

Tough question!! Couple of thoughts, you could give a overview on a topic such as "Developmental Disabilities" Talk about what they are (definition) and possible causes. Point two could be communities perception, and point three would be the perspective from the individual with disabilities. some other ideas along this would discuss services available, history of institutions, individuals who live in the community. If you need anymore help let me know.
