QuestionMr. Craig, your story is so inspiring. How has your way of dealing with naysayers, misguided and mistaken authority figures and "experts", and human obstacles in general, changed over the years? Thank you.
AnswerGood question. I have a 21 year old daughter that experienced a bit of what I went through growing up. So now I could teach her where I made my mistakes. She struggled with visual/perceptual/motor deficits. In second grade the school system wanted to put her in a 12:1 contained classroom. The next year I moved her to a private school. Long story short she is a Junior in college and has made the deans list several times. So what was different? Instead of punching out the school board I beat the with federal regulations, data, and pure determination. Like an athlete I had to get stronger and faster to beat my opponents. I had to look at new studies and propose new ideas and then be able to back my ideas up. I do that for the patients I work with also.
Thanks for your kind words!
